Robert Reynolds

Robert Reynolds is currently the President and CEO of Tactical Mission Solutions LLC, a consulting group that provides unique and complex business solutioning.

Prior to his retirement from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) after 38 years of Federal Service, Rob was The Deputy Under Secretary for the Office of Automated Benefits Delivery. In this capacity, he was responsible for the Veterans Benefits Administration’s (VBA) technology and automation efforts to improve benefits claims processing for Veterans. This includes VBA’s Production Optimization Office and Office of Benefits Automation, as well as oversight for VBA’s Office of Business Integration to ensure technology efforts are focused on prioritizing resources to maximize the services VBA provides in leveraging automation to deliver benefits.

Robert has extensive experience in organizational development, which has led to many leadership opportunities with Senior officials within and across our allied Nations, testifying before the United States Congress and the Parliament of Canada. His advocacy for technical advancements to serve America’s veterans, resulted in the administration of more than $100 billion of funded opportunities for veterans and survivors and over $1.3 trillion in insurance coverage for 3.8 million veterans and active-duty service members. He has held many significant leadership positions including Deputy Undersecretary for Disability Assistance of the Veterans Benefits
Administration overseeing the compensation program for services such as the service-connected disability, pension, and the dependency and indemnity programs, Acting Deputy Under Secretary for Economic Opportunity overseeing VA’s education programs, home loan services, and vocational rehabilitation and employment for wounded, ill and injured Service members as well as service-connected disabled Veterans. He also held the position of Executive Director of VBA’s Benefits Assistance Service, and VBA Regional Office Executive Director.

An Army Veteran, Robert served with the 82nd Airborne Division and U.S. Army Special Forces with overseas assignments at the Jungle Expert School, French Commando School, and Operation Southern Thrust. He was severely injured during a parachute accident and honorably discharged as a result of his service-connected disabilities. He is a member of several Veterans Service Organizations including the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 82nd Airborne Association, Special Forces Association, and the Disabled American Veterans.
Additionally, he served as the National Commander of the 1.3 million-member Disabled American Veterans during 2007-2008.
