Robert Disko

Founder and President

Robert Disko began his federal government career with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Newark, NJ after leaving military service. After accepting a position with the U.S. Marshals Service in Washington, DC, Rob learned first-hand the importance of information security and its impact on agency operations in support of the DC Joint Fugitive Task Force and the USMS Special Operations Group (SOG). In his return to VA in 2001 to become the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Chief of Web Services, he focused his attention on delivering critical business information, yet securing web assets. Accepting positions with increasing responsibility in Maine, St. Louis, Nashville, and Indianapolis, Rob successfully stood up the first Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Program Office in VA. Over the years until retirement, Rob built the C&A Program Office from a one-person compliance activity to VA’s Information Security Risk Management organization of over 100 staff and an operating portfolio of over $90M.

In his spare time, Rob likes to…who are we kidding. There is no spare time!
